Corruption means the perversion of a social custom or low. Whatever is not ethically or legally pointed is a corruption.
True civilization stands on morality. Morality means the use of reason as the guide of man’s conduct. What is wanted of man is that he should be good .he should be a moral being having respect for the fundamental truths of life, truths, justice, love and sympathy.
But in our society morality has become a rare thing. Here nobody cares for what is legal or moral. Here fair has become foul and foul has become fair .Corruptions prevails everywhere. Here truth, justice, love, and sympathy have no charm. But corruptions cannot make man happy. It is corruption which is responsible for the downfall of man.
Wherever we cast our eyes we see corruption. Immoral traffic, bribery, nepotism, hoarding, black-marketing, asmuggling, hijacking, decoity and robbery, these are common news items. Unfairness in the examinations, rigging in the elections, negligence of duty and misuse of power are very common.
Now we feel that we should get rid of these corruptions. The government is also worried over the situation. Some suggest that guilty persons should be heavily punished. Corruption officers should be dismissed from service. In fact, some sorts of punishment are being inflicted upon the corrupt. But still corruption is going on.
So how to check corruptions? They say that religious education can check corruptions. It is partly true. But no human measure can check total corruptions. Man can deceive men. Men can escape men’s eyes men. What can not be done in light is done in darkness. To my mind fear of Allah, is the only effective remedy for corruptions.
When we shall understand the following saying of Allah, corruptions shall cease to exist.” men ,fear your Lord ,Who keeps an account of your actions and fear the day when no parent shall avail the child nor any child his parents.”
We should also remember the saying of Allah,”Saitan is your enemy. He tempts his followers so that they may become his followers, so that they may become the heirs of hell”.
